One of my primary interests is in working with older adults through life
transitions. Meaning making can be
especially challenging as we age.
Retirement, changes in physical and mental health, loss of loved ones,
isolation, and confronting one’s own mortality become the trials as we grow and
make new meanings for our lives and futures. My passion is in helping to ease the transition into the
next phase of life and to explore what the future may become.
I have had the pleasure of working with older adults through
various stages of life: looking for new employment, handling the changes that
retirement brings, “sandwich” generation challenges, memory and health
concerns, changing self-image, and death and dying. I have worked in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living
facilities and in the client’s residence for homebound older adults, as well as
in my office.
If you, or someone you know is struggling with the process
of aging, please contact me at: 510-263-8476 for a free 20 minute info session so
that we can discuss your needs and see if we are a “good fit” for working
together.
**Additionally I work with clients and their loved ones
through various stages of dementia.
Please see my page on dementia for more information.
